Reviews Summary

Visitors rave about Block Island's stunning natural beauty, from dramatic cliffs to pristine beaches, calling it an 'underrated day trip' and a 'tropical escape without leaving New England.' The charming island atmosphere and opportunities for outdoor activities are frequently praised. However, some find the ferry experience can be unpredictable with delays or rough seas, and parking can be a hassle if not planned for.

"Looks clean,
We got $12 on the way to island and $21 on the way back. The return ferry was late by 45 minutes.

The traditional ferry was late but the high speed ferry left on time.

If you want to park before taking the ferry - would be great to carry cash.

We were able to find $10 for a day worth of parking but they take cash.

The options with card usage charge $4 for a transaction, so comes to 20$ totally."

"We took the traditional ferry and loved the experience. It was a cool, cloudy Sunday. Good crowd, but not overly packed. There was plenty of space to move about, and the air conditioned seating was appreciated by many on the return leg.

We arrived early, parked across the street from the terminal, for $19/day. We were the first to board and chose to sit in front of the second story windows, overlooking the bow of the ship. It gets cold on the water, even in the Summertime, so be prepared.

Smooth hour long ride brought us into the harbor. The return trip, a storm was approaching, fog rolled in, and the seas were a little rougher. Definitely take some motion sickness medicine before you leave. We arrived back much quicker than it took to go to the island, and I was glad."

"Was fudged pack on Labor Day weekend. Never been before but lots were full at 10am on Sunday!!! Pretty sure this isn’t normally this busy. Parked on street at 4 hour spot and had to leave early on the island. Wish I could stay longer and knew lots would be already full. I think a lot of people did the same thing I did. Gotta come on a non hold next time. Saw a whale!!!"
