Guests enjoy the lodge's ambiance, pool, and the farm-to-table dining at Timbers. "This is a nice Nebraska Gem. Great bar,
Pool, and Hot tub. Beautiful outside during the fall months with the leaves changing colors.
The rooms are big and spacious. My wife and I went for a weekend getaway. With over 150 rooms this place was booked out for the weekend. We will be going g back again in the future."

"I didn’t mean to write such a lengthy review but here we are!
My family and I spent two nights at Lied Lodge to explore all that Arbor Day Farm had to offer. The best part of staying here was all of the trails on the property and the gorgeous views especially with the changing colors of fall. The pool was also very nice, more than your average holiday inn pool.
I don’t regret taking the trip because the daytime experiences and the property were worth some of the troubles we ran into, though they were quite notable. The first two things we noticed when we walked into our room upon checking in were 1. The rooms were pretty cramped with only one spot that had enough space for our pack n play and 2. There was dang near a fly infestation. I’m not exaggerating when I say my husband killed at least 15 flies upon our arrival with more still present. He then went on to kill probably 20-30 more flies in the rest of the time we stayed. They just kept coming out of nowhere. We received a text in the middle of the following day (so just before our 2nd of 2 nights there) asking how our stay was going. I was honest and to their credit they offered to change rooms but we were already settled and if there are flies in one room could there be much difference in another? We spotted an abundance of flies of multiple varieties throughout the property in general so I didn’t want to haul our stuff to another room and have the same problem.
Our last major issue was overnight the second night. Our older daughter woke up and got sick in the second Queen bed. We stripped the bed and called for a new fitted sheet. The person bringing the linens didn’t even know what a fitted sheet was. He came to our door three times with completely incorrect linen items, each time talking louder and louder while our one year old was still asleep, and woke her up the final time he came.
Overall I’m not sure that we would actually stay at Lied Lodge again. It was overpriced for what you received even with their weekday discount deal they were running. Not to mention several of the experiences at Tree Adventure were not even available during the week. The only place to eat breakfast and dinner with kids onsite was pretty expensive and not all that kid friendly.
If I did it again we would make a day trip to do Tree Adventure and Arbor Lodge Mansion on the weekend so we could get the full experience, eat lunch at Porters, and head home for dinner and to sleep in our own beds."

"A lovely lodge, built in 1993 in the timbered style of a 1930's California national park building. The resident restaurant, Timbers, is excellent. There are shady walking trails adjacent and the lodge has an Olympic-sized pool, sauna, and fitness room with a cardio machine, dumbbells, and a bench. Just an hour from Omaha or Lincoln, it provides a welcome retreat from "city life" for short visits."
