Hi, I am new to New Orleans and Reddit. I’m looking for local artists to watch for, and for art galleries off the beaten path.
Check out Dr. Bob's Folk Art, and of course the (mostly upscale) galleries on Magazine are all worth a look.

His famous art are signs that read "Be Kind or Leave." My wife and I picked up a small piece of art for $50. (They take credit cards.) The staff are helpful and very kind."

"Just go! Some superb works in here. I love the style. Picked a few very keenly priced smaller works but skys the limit. Our server was super nice, and we chatted loads over WWOZ radio....what more you want? Thanks so much. ❤️👌"

""Old school" New Orleans. Home office of iconic artist. Cool place if you want to experience New Orleans' funky artistic side (instead of the cookie cutter corporate sanitized New Orleans)."
