What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about Music Box Village's unique, interactive art installations and the joy of playing the custom-made instruments. It's celebrated as a fantastic, family-friendly spot for both exploration and live music, offering a truly memorable New Orleans experience. Some wish for more readily available food options on-site.
"The Music Box had everything we were looking for in a wedding venue! The space was fun for guests to explore, gave kids stuff to do, provided a beautiful backdrop for photos—and the connected warehouse offered a much-needed rain contingency plan.
We paid extra to hire the "house band," a group of musicians that play the musical structures that dot the landscape inside. Their performance during cocktail hour really blew our guests away! The bar manager designed some specialty cocktails that were absolutely delicious. And the ability to bring in the caterer of our choice helped us make sure the experience was exactly what we wanted to share with our friends and family. The sound was incredible and literally every detail was perfect. Cannot recommend this venue enough!"

"Second time visiting, two very different but very amazing experiences. First was an open hours where you have the opportunity to wander and explore all the fun things. The second and most recent visit was during a Mother’s Day market, which was such a cool experience with all the vendors throughout the grounds. Highly recommend for any occasion."

"This place is amazing! If you have kids who like to make noise or are a kid yourself who likes to tinker, you have to check it out! Musical instruments made out of all kinds of discarded items. They host musical events but the place itself is worth the visit. Also, just below the levy so you can walk up and walk along the the levee."
