Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently describe the 9/11 Memorial & Museum as a profoundly moving and essential experience, though emotionally challenging. Many highlight the meticulous preservation of artifacts and the powerful storytelling that honors victims and survivors. Some find the intensity overwhelming, recommending ample time for reflection.

"This museum was the main thing I wanted to do when I visited New York for the first time. Buying my ticket and getting into the museum was easy and organized. The exhibits were well done and organized in a timeline that was easy to follow. There were plenty of staff members to direct people and answer questions as well as a self guided audio tour that was available for purchase. This was a moving experience and I would recommend this to anyone who is able to visit."

"Absolutely loved this experience. The wave of emotions.... they just took over and I was feeling everything I felt that day.🥺 It's done beautifully and respectfully. Definitely something to see if you're visiting NYC. They have tours, even audio tours with many languages, or you can DIY.
Bathrooms in all levels and elevators. Discounts for Veterans and First Responders. You can purchase tickets in person or online. I went early when they opened, no wait. ❤️🇺🇲"

"The 9/11 Memorial is an incredibly moving place to visit. Standing by the reflecting pools, you can truly feel the weight of history and the impact of that day. My son, who wasn’t even born yet, expressed how deeply he could sense the significance and loss honored here. It’s a place of quiet reflection, respect, and remembrance. The memorial does a beautiful job of honoring those we lost while reminding us of the strength and resilience of New York City and its people."
