What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Bartlett Mall and Frog Pond are appreciated as a quiet, reflective spot with a beautiful fountain and a grand courthouse backdrop. Visitors enjoy the peaceful atmosphere, especially compared to the waterfront, and the inclusive playground is a hit with families. However, the lack of on-site bathrooms is a notable drawback for some.
"The Bartlet Mall (pronounced ‘Mal’) and frog pond is a wonderful sight for all to enjoy. Over-shadowed by the Bullfinch-designed brick courthouse, the pond features a massive architectural cast iron fountain that looks over a large grassy area, circular walkways and hills, and park benches to gaze or enjoy a picnic on. There is even an artillery cannon, a relic from WWI guarding the complex. It’s a very quiet place for reflection, and it can’t compete with the waterfront, but still, a gem of a spot. Free on-street parking on Greenleaf St. Bathrooms are sadly missing."
