What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently rave about the breathtaking beauty and raw power of Niagara Falls State Park, calling it an unforgettable, must-see destination. The well-organized park, accessible attractions like Maid of the Mist and Cave of the Winds, and the magical nighttime illumination are frequently praised. While parking can be a challenge and getting wet is guaranteed, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive and highly recommended for all.
"This was my 2nd time visiting but the 1st time I was on the Canadian side which didn’t have any of the stores etc. I think it was around 2008, nearly 20 years ago.
This park was simply beautiful and the sun was out and we could see the infamous RAINBOW! I went with a family friend who was once a tour guide at the park so I had privy to very detailed information.
There is a very nice gift shop near main waterfall that is open until the weather is bad. They normally close at end of October but extended time open due to decent weather.
I highly recommend visiting Niagra falls and enjoying the beauty! But also recommend having passport to visit the Canadian side because there is so much more to do there."

"We went at night and early morning, in Dec when it was really cold so we had the place to ourselves which was definitely a neat experience being able to take it all in without the crowd. I can not wait to come back with my girls! I also wanted to walk more around the islands and experience it from the observation deck but it was too cold and I was working so I didn't have all the time I would have liked also the park itself was open (and free from evening hours till I believe 730 am, certain attractions in the park weren't open till later in the morning and closed before I arrived in the evening.) If you are considering going, I highly recommend doing it! Also there is a firework show a lot of evenings at 10 PM in Dec. I hope to be able to come back and experience that, as well as the boat (preferably when it's warm)!"

"Visiting Niagara Falls was an absolutely unforgettable experience. The power of the water, the sound, and the overall atmosphere are truly breathtaking — pictures don’t do it justice.
I highly recommend this place whether you’re visiting with family or planning a romantic getaway. For families, there are plenty of activities, safe viewpoints, walking paths, and open spaces to enjoy. And for couples, the area has a special romantic vibe, especially at sunset or when the falls light up at night.
The boat tours are a must — getting that close to the falls is something you’ll remember forever. Everything is well-organized, clean, and surrounded by great food and entertainment options.
Without a doubt, a destination worth visiting. I’d go back in a heartbeat!"
