What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Nokomis Beach is praised for its beautiful sunsets, unique shell-covered sand perfect for shelling, and the vibrant sunset drumming circle. Visitors appreciate the free access and parking, as well as the convenience of the pavilion with its amenities. However, the coarse, shell-filled sand can be uncomfortable for bare feet, and parking can become challenging during peak times.
"Nice, wide beach, but "sand" is just crushed shells, so it's quite rough on your feet. I tried to search for shark teeth, but no luck. No life guards and the water gets deep quite quickly. Great place to watch the sunset."

"We arrived at 9am mid-week in November planning to spend half of the day relaxing and enjoying the beach. The parking lot was nearly empty and we had our pick of spots on the beach. We chose to sit fairly close to the water. The water was very clear and pretty on a mostly sunny day. The sand wasn't well kept. It had lots of seaweed and shells that were difficult to walk on. I had wished that I brought some water shoes with me. Lifeguards were on duty starting at 10am. As the day went on, more people arrived and, as we were leaving around 2pm, I commented that it would be difficult to find parking at this time even though it's not fully in-season. I can imagine it would be much busier once winter is in full swing."

"Absolutely Breathtaking Beach Getaway!
This beach is nothing short of paradise! The beautiful water, soft sandy shores, and stunning views make it the perfect spot to relax and recharge. Whether you’re sunbathing, swimming, or just taking in the scenery, it’s impossible not to feel at peace here.
The area was clean, not overly crowded, and had great access to nearby food stand. The sunsets were absolutely magical—worth the trip alone. It’s the kind of place you never want to leave and can’t wait to come back to.
If you’re looking for a perfect beach escape, this location is a must-visit!"
