What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Connie Link Amphitheatre as a valuable community asset offering a pleasant outdoor entertainment experience, especially for its free events. The terraced lawn seating and surrounding trees are appreciated for comfort and shade. Some minor points of improvement include clearer restroom signage and the need for insect repellent during peak seasons.
"The Connie Link Amphitheatre is a nice outdoor bandshell operated by the Parks & Recreation department of the town of Normal. The seating is on a terraced lawn with opportunities for shade from mature trees on blistering hot summer days. When we were there to see our son perform with the ISU Jazz Band, the concession stand was open and serving popcorn, chips, and soft drinks. There is a wheelchair accessible area as well as restrooms. This is a nice place to watch a performance on a beautiful summer day. Bring camp chairs or a blanket since there is no built-in seating."

"To think a kid that was one of Connie's students uses the amphitheater on the regular is amazing. Great place to watch any event. I rode past for years with my kids, and I would always hear her in my head. "There he goes wasted talent. With all your gifts you could be one of my state champions." Usually said with Mrs. Knapp not far behind with some reference about the things that come out of my mouth. It wasn't until later in life I saw in myself what they knew all along. So, in parting with this review. I love this place with all my ❤️."
