"The nature preserve is beautiful. We saw beautil plants, sand hill cranes, blue heron, green heron, etc. We followed the trail from Whitehall Rd to the end. Take water if it's hot, there aren't many water fountains. The trail runs through Lakeside so there are opportunities to leave the trail for lunch, ice cream, cold drinks."
