1.5 days at North Rim in June - recommended hikes?
We are staying at the Kaibab Lodge after a couple days at Zion. Looking for easy to moderate trail suggestions. It looks like the lodge and North Rim Lodge have breakfast and dinner options. What about snacks for hiking? Should we get supplies in Springdale or is there a placeโฆ

My family and I are planning to visit the north rim in a few days. What are some easy-moderate hikes (known and gems) that we can do with elementary age kids? Anything we should do/see at the north rim? We just did Zion and Bryce and they did good on the trails there. Allโฆ
North Rim Mule Ride: 3hr too much?
Hi there, I'm curious if anyone has done the 3hr mule ride to Uncle Jim's Point from the north rim. I am in good shape and love hiking but have essentially no horseback riding experience. It's been a dream of mine to do a mule ride into the canyon one day but am a bit wary of 3โฆ

Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the spectacular canyon views from Uncle Jim's Point, calling it one of the best easy-to-moderate trails on the North Rim. The unique experience of sharing the path with mules is noted, though some find the terrain challenging. Be prepared for potential bugs and be mindful of beehives near the overlook.
"It took me 70 minutes to walk from the parking lot at North Kaibab Trailhead to Uncle Jim's Point. There are many dips and rises through the woods and along the rim on a path shared with mules. The highlight of the hike is a spectacular view overlooking switchbacks on the North Kaibab trail. If you are equine comfortable, consider taking the 3 hour mule ride to this viewpoint."

"When you visit North Rim this one would probably be the first stop (right before/after Bright Angel). One of the easiest trail Grand Canyon has to offer yet the view is really rewarding. You obviously have to get closer to the Canyon to see more details. From a distance this one is one of the best. Don't miss it."

"I rode it horseback on my horse. It would be a hard hike. The front half (SW) where mules go is pretty steep and torn up, lots of timber steps. The Ken Patrick trail that leads to it has a lot of ups and downs.
But the back half (NE) of the loop is much smoother, I even cantered some. Gorgeous views overall."
