Reviews Summary

Visitors often praise the Pacific Northwest Naval Air Museum for its friendly and knowledgeable staff, unique historical artifacts like the Norden bombsight and PBY turret, and engaging flight simulators. Some reviewers note that the current admission price might feel high for the size of the exhibits, especially if audiovisuals are not functioning, but acknowledge the museum's potential and recent expansion.

"Rich in history. This place is cool! It is right outside of the navy base. Well worth the drive and the low admission. Found some good gifts at the gift shop too. Everyone was friendly and knowledgeable about the exhibits. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!"

Laura Wandell

"I don’t want to sound harsh since this is clearly a small group running a small museum, but there is simply not enough here to make it worth the trip or $15 admission fee. The largest exhibit is a trainer of an Intruder - there are no actual aircraft and the theming on the inside is very minimal. You can see everything in 20-ish minutes. Maybe would be more worthwhile if the PBY ever gets moved onsite. There’s potential but right now I don’t recommend it."

Shotgun Creeper

"We were a bit disappointed and underwhelmed by the offerings of this naval air Museum. Apparently they have been trying to improve their offerings, but the audiovisuals were having technical difficulties and not available for viewing at the time that we visited.
The staff was knowledgeable and obviously had a heart and an interest in the subject matter. The saving grace for us was the fact that it was very uncrowded, and there were two readily available flight simulators which we took full advantage of."
