Best hikes that are short and can be gotten to without using the interstate?
I'm 31 and have been an avid hiker all my life but suffered a stroke a few weeks ago. It was in my occipital lobe and I have full mobility but my vision is a bit shit right now and I'm constantly tired. So, where can I hike that's a 3-5 mile max hike and I can get to on back…
Running routes
Hello! My friend and I have been running together and once a week we do our long runs. We are up to about 2.5 hours, but we are tiring of our same old routes. We typically end up doing a mix of downtown/riverside/worlds fair/third creek. I was wondering if anyone had any other…

Best parks for long walks?
Does anyone have recommendations for parks that have ample parking, pretty scenery, and are good for medium-long walks? (2+ miles, more is better). Preferably not too crowded and somewhat close to town, but I'm open to suggestions!

Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Haw Ridge Park for its beautiful scenery, well-maintained trails, and opportunities for outdoor activities like hiking and biking. Many appreciate the peaceful atmosphere and the chance to see local wildlife. Some note that certain unpaved trails can be challenging for those with limited mobility.
"My annual fall trip to Haw Ridge along the paved path. 1/10 in difficulty, but always keep an ear free to listen for bikers coming from front/behind/side trails.
Some great captures with my camera, and even some chipmunks foraging about in the open. Lovely time, and about a 1-2 hour walk (on the pavement) depending on your speed and where you turn back."

"This will be my new Screensaver. 10 mile hike and 20 more miles unexplored. The trails are well maintained and unlittered. There are benches strategically placed in the most gorgeous viewing locations. There are mile markers and other designations to assist with EMS finding you. I highly recommend this for your next hike."

"Nice nature trail good for mountain biking too! Folks with limited mobility may find parts of the trail accessible but mostly not. It was icy when I was there but even without that some narrow and slippery places with lots of roots and rocks and some sloped parts would be a bit too much. Gorgeous though, with plenty of great views and fresh air. There is a porta potty in the parking area and they seem to keep it pretty clean."
