Air Show observation spots?
I have three kids and I’d love to take them to the air show, but honestly they don’t do well in crowded event spaces (twin toddlers that like to run!). Is there a playground or other area nearby that is good for watching the planes?

Summer activities for kids?
With the kids home I’m liking for activities at low cost to get them out of the house. What are some cool things going on? 2nd and 4th graders

Near the YMCA, the park offers good spots for watching planes, ideal for families with young children.

The park's history as a former zoo or golf course adds an interesting layer to its appeal.
"A well-kept park with something for most anyone.
Fun Fact, it is my understanding that this park used to be a zoo?
The main park feature is the disc golf course. There are many group sites for parties, playgrounds for kids, and just as many bathrooms. There are at least two ponds / small lakes with catch and release fishing. There was also a dog park.
The walking trails felt like an afterthought or, in the least, a low priority. I still enjoyed my walk around the park, although I feel like I did not see it all somehow.
This is a unique park, and I am grateful to have visited it and will make time to visit again when in the area."

"This Public park now shuts down and doesn’t allow the public in because big corporations rent it out for events keeping the public out from enjoying the area, it’s happening more and more and more. A once beautiful place to come hang out any day of the year with your family now controlled by private events for a very small group of people."

"A group I belong to rented a section for an onsite picnic. We were near the little lakes. A few kids were fishing (not sure what's in there) There's ducks and swans, a section where kids jump on rocks.
Farther over was a play structure and restrooms which were clean and well stocked. Lots of onsite parking and walking paths. Word has it this park used to be a golf course which explains its sprawling nature. Lots of different places to meet up or just lie on the grass. Food was catered. Some folks set up to play music."
