"A family member took me to see this great dam! The view is spectacular and there’s a visitor center not far away where you can watch short videos all about the dam, see artifacts about the dam and area history, and get more views. The walk across (or run!) is 1 mile and there’s a walking and bike path on it. There’s even a boat ramp. Great place to visit if you’re in Oroville, CA."

"Our family enjoys many a walk on top of the country’s tallest dam at Oroville. The dam is well kept and updated with so much natural beauty it is inspiring. It’s a perfect hike, easily accessible with choices of pitch. Restroom facilities are clean and parking/walking is safe with stationed police presence."
David Sullivan
"If visiting Oroville, going to the dam is a must. Plus, it’s free! The top of the dam spans a mile long, and when full, provides a tranquil environment for all to enjoy. There is parking at the beginning of the one mile road across the dam, but also at the end of that road, too. At night, many people go to view the city lights, talk a walk/run to meditate or exercise, or fish along the banks. There is also another road, at the end of the one mile road that goes across the dam, that will lead you to a boat launch. So if you have a boat, you can take it out on the lake. If you don’t have a pass for the boat launch, fees apply. Dogs are welcomed!"
