"Stopped by here expecting a small local museum. Boy were we wrong! This very unassuming building is packed with historical artifacts and excellent dioramas and immersive displays. There are alot of pics and everyday items from around Ouray and the surrounding area having to do with mining and the surrounding mountains but also includes military and some railroad displays. There isn't much space in this building not containing a piece of historic memorabilia. Plan for a minimum of a couple hours to go through it all because before you know it, 2 hours have passed."
