Many appreciate the peaceful atmosphere and unique shaded picnic spots. However, the lack of safety barriers near the ocean is a significant concern, requiring extreme caution, especially for families.
"This public park has amazing sea vistas and one can overlook the sea from the cliffs and watch the waves crashing. There are some tables for a picnic. However the restroom was not maintained well and it's a long drive. So would only recommend going there if you are in the area and have some time to spare"

"First ocean park I stumbled upon in Hawaii, and what an introduction! The sights, the sounds, the smells— practically all the human senses can find enjoyment here. Even the droplets from the spray of waves bursting against the protruded lava is like a misty breeze against one's face.
Obviously, you have to be careful here. No ropes or fences, so be careful if you have children. Keep them away from the edge. Parking was easy— no actual "spots", but just pull aside in the big pavement area. There are a lot of neat stone tables and stone seats in the grassy area that makes you think you're at some sort of cave man picnic.
Very clean, and just the sounds of the ocean. That view! Those sounds! As I mentioned, nearly all the senses! A lemonade stand is the only thing missing. The sky was emitting colorful yellow hues around sunset. Sorry Lake Erie— you've been beat."
