Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise Yamaguchi Park for its spaciousness, diverse amenities, and peaceful riverside setting. It's highlighted as a great family-friendly spot with excellent playgrounds and recreational facilities, offering a welcome escape from busier tourist areas.

"This is a great park! It's huge, and there's so much to do here.

There are two playgrounds. One is bigger/taller and is for bigger kids (like elementary school age kids and tweens) and one is smaller/shorter and is for little kids/toddlers.

There's a soccer field, and a baseball field. There's plenty of room to toss a ball or a frisbee or to just horse around.

There are benches to sit on while contemplating life. There are picnic tables scattered throughout the park.

There's a paved walking path that my dog and I enjoyed very much. It goes around the whole park.

Also, the San Juan River flows along the back edge of the park. It's really pretty.

The whole park is very peaceful and a bit away from the hustle and bustle of the downtown tourist area.

I highly recommend a visit to this park."

"Great place to bring the family. Whether it be to play, ride, enjoy the river, picnic, or all of the above. Pagosa Springs puts on one of the better 4th of the July firework shows we’ve seen and this park has the best views imaginable. The videos attached don’t do it justice. The echo through the valley is unbelievable. Definitely something you must witness in person. Thank you all for a great Independence Day!"

Bryan & Sarah Scribner

"I hate to mention how great this park is because next time I visit, it may not be so peaceful. We were looking for a less crowded park during Memorial Day weekend and we found it here just a couple miles from the touristy area. Right on the river with clean bathrooms, benches, ramadas, skate park and walking path around the park. We spent all day here and loved listening to the river as we sat in the shade and enjoyed our picnic."
