Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise the Village Green Heritage Center for its immersive exhibits and knowledgeable, passionate guides, especially on walking tours. The affordable entry fees and the unique historical perspective, focusing on early founders and architecture, are frequently highlighted as major draws. Some visitors note that while the mid-century modern aspect is famous, the center offers a valuable look at the city's deeper roots.

"We spent a fascinating couple of hours guided by the witty, knowledgeable and passionate Cecile on the Inns & Glamour walking tour. Perfectly paced, with extensive history and anecdotes. A marvellous introduction to the architecture and history of Palm Springs."

"Every year, when we visit Palm Springs, we try to go on a PS Historical Society walking tour. This year we went on the Cherished Memories tour, written and led by Cecile, at the Wellwood Murray cemetery. Wow! We have been on so many architectural and movie star tours, that we assumed we would not learn too much new. How wrong we were -- this is a must do tour to learn about the founders of Palm Springs, and the strong women of early Palm Springs. All of the PSHS tours are great but this was a real stand out -- Cecile knew her facts and was very passionate about the tour she was conducting. HIGHLY RECOMMEND."

Kristin S

"One of the best museums I’ve ever visited. The exhibitions were immersive and clearly explained. I particularly enjoyed the interactive sections that allowed for hands-on experiences. It’s clear that a lot of thought and care went into designing each part."
