Current trail/parking conditions in Rancho Palos Verdes? Also other hiking recommendations in the area?
Hey all, haven’t been hiking over there in a couple years at least. Looking for info on some good trials/parking advice for a weekday hike this week. Additionally, looking for some trail suggestions within say an hour of LBC. I do most of my hiking in the San Bernardino…

Palos Verdes tomorrow?
Im visiting family in southern CA and tomorrow is our last day. Someone recommended we hike and drive in palos Verdes. Is this a good idea or is there still too much damage in the area from the storm?

What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the stunning, breathtaking ocean views and the opportunity to explore tide pools teeming with marine life. The free parking and dog-friendly trails are also highly appreciated. However, some find the trail more challenging than expected, with rocky terrain and steep descents, and caution is advised near the ocean's edge.
"Stunning views and has the added convenience of a small, free parking lot. It's dog-friendly, which is great, but pets are not allowed on the beach, which limits access once you reach that part of the loop - only a few steps, then you are going up again (depends which way you access the loop.
While the trail features some easy sections, be prepared for a more challenging experience, especially when navigating downhill and along the coastline where you'll find yourself walking on rocks instead of a maintained path. This section is not really moderate; it leans toward the hard side if you choose to complete the entire loop).
There is room for confusion; the trail splits at several points, so keep an eye on your route and keep and eye on the AllTrails map.
Free bathrooms available at the country club."

"Wow. This place is absolutely beautiful. This was one of the very first things we did upon arriving in LA. We climbed down the rope trail to get to the bottom at sunset. It was a moderate to strenuous scramble for the inexperienced. Words can’t describe the beauty of this area. There are some little tide pools at the bottom that contain a bunch of snails, fish and crabs. Be aware that there are steep drop offs from the rocks at the bottom into the ocean. They may not be visible all the time with the waves coming up. Could be very dangerous if fallen into."

"This is pure heaven on Earth. I grew up in this area. Infact down the street was my junior high. I still visit this serenity when I need to recenter myself to how nature is so beautiful and free!"
