Visitors consistently praise Paonia Wine Country for its exceptional wines, particularly the reds, and the incredibly warm and personal hospitality from winery owners and staff. The stunning vineyard scenery and relaxed atmosphere are frequently highlighted as major draws, making it a highly recommended destination for a peaceful and enjoyable wine-tasting experience.

"My partner and I stopped by for a wine tasting, and we had such a great experience! Jeff, the owner, was very friendly and made us feel right at home in his winery. The wines were delicious, especially the red wines and the Chardonnay.

The main tasting room was beautiful, and the patio offered gorgeous views of the vineyard.

They also have an Airbnb on the property, which makes it even more tempting to come back for a longer stay. We definitely plan to return, and next time, weโ€™ll bring a group of friends in the summer. Highly recommended!"

Jackie Claux

"Had an amazing time staying at the Airbnb and drinking wine. Karen is a great host. Rooms were beautiful! So relaxing!"

Jeff Beer (mogulman)

"We went to Paonia for a quick trip and happened upon The Painted Vineyard. Jeff, the owner served our group his daily taster samples. Very nice wines. We bought a couple of bottles. He also gave us a tour of the property. Extremely friendly and knowledgeable. We definitely will be back. Also my wife is excited to come over for the B&B for her birthday in September."

๐ŸŽซ ๐ŸŽซ Tickets & Entry

Most wineries offer wine tastings for a fee, which often includes a selection of their current wines. Some may waive the tasting fee with a bottle purchase. It's wise to check individual winery websites or call ahead to confirm tasting fees and availability, especially for popular spots.

Winery hours can vary, but generally, tasting rooms are open from late morning to late afternoon, typically around 11 AM to 5 PM. Many are closed on Mondays or Tuesdays. Always verify hours directly with the winery before your visit, as they can change seasonally.

While walk-ins are often welcome, making reservations for wine tastings is highly recommended, particularly for weekends and during peak season. This ensures you secure a spot and can avoid disappointment. Some wineries may only accept reservations.
