"I recently worked a day in the kitchen at the Langham Hotel in Pasadena to help out during an event, and I was very surprised by what I witnessed behind the scenes.
When I arrived, the kitchen was disorganized, and the prep areas were not being maintained properly. Under the prep tables was dirty and cluttered, there were no sanitizer buckets available, and I even found a wet towel on the prep table that smelled bad. I also saw unsafe practices, such as containers being placed directly on the floor and then later put back onto prep surfaces.
This was especially concerning given that a very expensive event was taking place at the hotel. Guests paying for this level of service deserve to know that the food preparation area should reflect the same high standards as the property’s image.
I say this with respect for the Langham brand, but also with honesty: before booking, I encourage anyone to take a closer look at the kitchen conditions. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and invests in proper cleanliness and organization."

"We stayed at this hotel from September 10th to 14th. Overall, it was a decent stay, but unfortunately, upon checking out I accidentally left behind some hair tools and a gold necklace that holds great sentimental value, both stored in the same drawer. When we called the hotel the next day, the hair tools were located, but the necklace was not. This felt quite concerning, given that both items were left in the same place. I would strongly advise future guests not to leave any valuables in the room, as it seems housekeeping may not be entirely trustworthy, expected more from a 5 star hotel"
