What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Guests praise the Peoria Marriott Pere Marquette for its stunning historic architecture and prime downtown location, offering a unique charm. While the staff is frequently commended for exceptional service, the dining experiences, particularly outside of Fox & Ford, receive mixed reviews regarding quality and value.
"The location was perfect for the Convention Center concert we attended. The room could use a good scrub down but all in all it was clean. The food was such a major let down for such a nice beautiful hotel. We went for lunch and was charged $50 for over cooked hot dogs… and not many other options. We got refund and went else where. The dinner was just as disappointing. Would definitely stay here again but not waste time of eating at the hotel."

"The Peoria Marriott Pere Marquette is a beautiful, historic hotel with plenty of charm that makes it stand out in the area. The building has character, and the central downtown location is a big plus — easy access to restaurants, events, and the Civic Center. Rooms were generally clean and comfortable, offering a good night’s rest.
That said, breakfast was disappointing for a hotel of this caliber — limited selection and average quality. Overall, it’s a nice place to stay if you value history and location, but there’s room for improvement in food and service consistency."

"I have stayed at the Pere Marquette on an almost weekly basis for the last several years. It is an excellent hotel with a lot of historic charm. The staff is very responsive, polite and provides exceptional service. Brandon and the front desk staff are outstanding. The rooms are always clean and comfortable. The hotel has a great breakfast buffet with a lot of variety. The executive chef Toby always seeks feedback from the guests. The concierge lounge also provides an excellent breakfast and Dion does a great job. There is a covered walkway from the hotel to the Peoria Civic Center which makes attending events very convenient. I highly recommend the Pere Marquette. I have never been disappointed with any of my stays."
