My hobby? Virginia. My current obsession: Petersburg. What are your suggestions for my dog friendly road trip?
If you have seen my blog (https://virginiacounties.blog/our-virginia-road-trips/), you know that my husband & I travel to each Virginia county with our dogs. For our Dinwiddie County post, I’m learning about Petersburg, both the city & the siege, and we plan to see the…

Petersburg Move
Hi, I need some help I think. My SO might be offered a job in Petersburg in the next week and we’d have to move around mid-June, so we don’t have a ton of time to figure things out. We currently live in Dallas, Texas but previously lived in Short Pump for a little over a year…
Petersburg is getting a luxury hotel with a rooftop bar. Yes. Petersburg.
I go to Petersburg at least once a month. Hit Trapezium for their awesome beer and pizza. Croakers Spot and Wabi Sabi are great. I'm eager to try Comeback Burger. Gonna hit that next time. Lots of antique stores to check out. I know it's not a lot, but Petersburg is trying.…

What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Ettrick Historic District is praised for its beautiful antebellum architecture and charming historical feel, with standout dining at Tramonto Ristorante and unique finds at The Oaks Antiques. However, visitors note inconsistent shop hours and some areas can feel less secure, particularly after dark, suggesting daytime visits and awareness are key.
"This area is ADORABLE. I really hope the next time I visit that more stores will be able to open and some for more hours. Its truly a gem of an area but lots of closed or abandoned looking shops. The center area has a place to read about the history of the area with pictures of the buildings in the past. I walked all around while staying in the area. It all seemed a like a little bit of a sketchy area in some areas but fairly clean and taken care of."

"Some of the best antebellum architecture around.
We really like the unassuming, but amazing food and service at Tramonto Ristorante.
I didn't shoot any cool buildings last week except for this great old corner bar."
Bob Bonham
"The Oaks Antiques was my destination, a varied and nice shop. Easy to access. Lots of cute lunch places.
Adequate parking, but the nearby lot had broken bottles, and was rough."
