Reviews Summary

Pine Knob is praised for its convenience to Detroit and its snowmaking capabilities, making it a reliable spot for a winter fix. However, some visitors find it overpriced for the size and amenities, citing older chairlifts and less-than-ideal grooming compared to larger resorts. It's often seen as a decent option for beginners and those seeking terrain park features, but potentially less appealing for experienced skiers looking for extensive challenges.

"Just moved to Michigan and wanted to try skiing in the mitten. This resort was the closest, so I decided to give it a try. It was ok, but overpriced for what you get. I can ski at a resort in Utah that is three times the size for only $19.and sometimes only $9 for a lift ticket! I came to ski there on a Friday expecting to pay $56 like their website said and instead was charged $69! After telling the cashier that I thought it was cheaper, she said “it is Friday so it’s already weekend rates” Therefore I had to pay that amount, but after double checking their website again when I got home. I was right. She over charged me!😡 I’m not going back. I was bored after two hours and left. Overpriced and too small for me, but probably okay if you’re a beginner, like the terrain parks and you don’t know that you can get so much more for your money in Utah!"

Judy Cook

"Super expensive for a crappy hill. Runs are not groomed well, old and slow 2 or 3 person chair lifts, and crammed hill all around. Get some of the new quad person high speed lifts, what you have is junk. Also, can we talk about how it’s absolutely outrageous to charge $48+ for a beginner hill single session ticket. That’s absolutely absurd. Place is way over priced for what you get. 3 days here is more expensive than 3 days at Boyne mountain and when I come here I can stay the night in my own house."

Drew Allison

"As long as they have power.... It's a great place to see a show."
