"Unique, no frills, remote. This is a beautiful part of our country and state and for someone who loves true nature this is the place to go. May not be suitable for young families or people who can't get around well. Expect visitor centers to be closed for the most part because of staff issues. Be aware of what hikes you want to do BEFORE arriving. There are 2 entrances and you cannot drive through the park to them, this is due to the geography of this untouched area. We were fortunate to go when there were not a lot of people in the park so there were no waits. Saw baby deer immediately, and saw condors at the peak of our hike. Also be aware of time of year and temperatures in the park. Start early in the day with the expectation of finishing up hikes around noon in the summer/early fall. Overall great experience! Also had a lovely experience with the park store staff member, very sweet and helpful!!"
