"I had no idea this mission even existed, except for the sign I saw on Hwy 101, but it was well worth the detour even though I got here after everything was closed.
The mission is surrounded by buildings that are also owned by the state parks, and all are well-preserved. They open at 10:30 every morning and close at 4:30, which is a little too early in the summer, but you can see a lot of the stuff through the windows.
The last few photos are of the 3rd street, which is one block over, and which also preserved it's 1800s character.
The park across the street has a little log cabin they moved over there after they tore down the old Wells Fargo hotel, which is really a shame.
But definitely take the detour and go visit this place cuz it's better preserved than most of the other California missions, blessed house all of the surrounding buildings that are also well-preserved."
