What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Station Square is praised for its beautiful riverfront location, stunning Pittsburgh skyline views, and the captivating musical fountain. The historic Grand Concourse restaurant is a significant draw, though some visitors note recent changes in menu and pricing. While the area offers a pleasant atmosphere, some find gift shop selections limited and parking can be expensive.
"The Grand Concourse has been one of my favorite places to visit for over three decades. I haven't visited in two years, and there are many changes. The food was delicious, but the portions were smaller. The prices have gone up, they changed the bread service to mini sour doughs, and the Martha vineyard salad is no longer on the menu. I believe they are using a different coffee as well. The dessert options have also changed. The chocolate lava cake was a treat. The setting remains beautiful, but we were seated in an area that was abnormally loud. We were a small table of two placed behind a large, full round table. It made conversation difficult. I've never encountered this issue in the main dining area as seats there are spaced more reasonably. I still enjoy dining here, but I would probably choose a Monday - Thursday to enjoy the prix fixe, or dine later to be seated in the main dining area."

"We just went to Station Square to kill some time. It was beautiful going on the incline and looking out over the city. There were some really good restaurants to choose from and plenty to see. We really enjoyed the fountain that played to the beat of music. My only complaint is that there really weren't any great gift shops around that area."

"It’s one of Pittsburgh’s facelifts that has remarkably revitalized the riverbanks 😎😎😎😎😎.
It’s the location of several restaurants and business offices. It is also the docking area of several riverboats.
Google Maps has unfortunately mislabeled this place a shopping mall. It is a business complex that is very popular to locals and visitors.
Close Views of Pittsburgh skyline are easy and pleasing to eye. There’s a viewing platform to enjoy the panorama
There’s a dancing fountain that is draw for little kids😎😎😎. There’s also historical pieces from steel mills that used to occupy the place.
A very good place to visit."
