What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary

The diverse art collections and engaging special exhibitions are also frequently highlighted as major draws. While some find the museum size just right for a few hours of exploration, others wish for more extensive collections.
"The Racine Art Museum is a little gem of a museum in downtown Racine and worth the trip.
I live in Racine and am recently retired, so I figured I should start visiting more places in my own community. I even became a member at my visit, which is nice because I went to the Peeps exhibit twice, now that I can go for free.
The Peeps exhibit was exceptional, very unique, and worth the visit. But there's so much more (and we didn't even have time to see it all!). There was a wonderful exhibit in their main gallery from a husband-wife duo. In one of the other galleries they had an exhibit of collage involving found objects which was also great. We looked at everything with a careful eye and an open mind and enjoyed the experience.
Overall, it was time well spent and made for an engaging afternoon. People who think there's nothing to do in Racine aren't trying hard enough."
Sandy Christensen
"Been going to this museum during the PEEPS show on Easter for years now. It is an awesome family fun event. The rest of the museum is just ok, but this exhibit it's my kid's favorite! They are also right by the lake, so you can go for a walk by lake Michigan afterwards."
Barbara Schumacher
"First time here in many years. What a wonderful art museum if you only want to spend a couple of hours. Exhibits change often, and I think there is something for everyone. Located in the downtown area. Plenty of street parking and very close to the lake."
