What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Umpqua Dunes for its vast, exhilarating sand dunes perfect for off-road riding and its beautiful, often private beach ideal for shell collecting and sunset viewing. The area's connection to the 'Dune' novels adds a unique appeal. Some find the wind can be intense, and navigation can be challenging without a GPS.
"Very exquisite Oregon beach to visit for some day dreaming and beach running. There isn't a lot of people here whenever we decide to go to this beach, so it feels really private and people can absolutely keep their distance! It is awesome, but windy on many days. In low-tide, we found full sea dollars and other various shells. This location is also a wonderful place to watch the sunset !"
Isabel
"Great trail head! Access right to the dunes. Seems to be pretty secure as well. We didn't have any issues the day we were there."
Jeff Garcia
"Riding sand dunes and jumping my side by side is one of my biggest passions. This is my favorite place in the PNW!"
