What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the unparalleled convenience of the Downtown Skyway and Subway, especially for accessing the Mayo Clinic and connected hotels. The weather-protected pathways and integrated amenities are frequently highlighted as major positives, making navigation effortless. However, some find the furniture in certain accommodations uncomfortable and wish for more frequent cleaning services.
"I am reluctant to review the Broadway Plaza. I want to keep it my secret! I loved the spacious room. The well appointed kitchen allowed me to make the food I want instead of some nasty breakfast bar food. The staff was so efficient one could almost miss their anticipation of my needs and quick response to requests. I was able to walk to the library for a book, the art center for a look, and the Mayo Clinic for a-well you get it. The view was lovely and the when I wanted to go out everything I needed was a short walk. I read in the hot tub and sauna then swam in the pool every night. Parking is simple in the attached ramp. Did I mention it was quiet. I felt more like I was home than at a hotel. By the way be sure to seek out the Bitter & Pour speakeasy on 3rd Street (if you can solve the riddle on the bookcase to get in."

"We highly recommend Broadway Plaza! Great location and wonderful staff, especially Briana (sorry if I misspelled that)! If everyone treated people like Briana did, this world would be a much better place! She was so helpful and answered all my questions with patience and enthusiasm! I chose this hotel because of her! Our room was wonderful. 2 bedroom, 2.5 baths, a living area, dining room, and kitchen. It was very clean. It was about 2 blocks from Mayo with plenty of dining options near by. The 4 elevators were fast. Wonderful amenities. We were on the 13th floor and never heard anyone walking above us, which is a huge plus! I hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did. We will definitely stay here again when we need to return!"

"My fiancée and I enjoyed our stay at Broadway Plaza. I got a reasonable price for the week stay we had yet we won’t go out of our way again staying at a “alternative hotel”.
Our stay at the Broadway Hotel in Rochester was decent overall. The location is very convenient, especially for Mayo patients, but since we were just visiting family and friends, we appreciated being close to downtown and local spots. The staff were kind and welcoming, which made the experience better.
That said, we didn’t find the room as comfortable as we had hoped. The furniture wasn’t very easy to relax in, and the king bed was much too firm for our preference, which made it tough to get a restful night’s sleep.
It was still a fine stay, but the comfort level just didn’t quite match what we were looking for."
