What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Ontario Beach Park for its well-maintained facilities, including clean restrooms, ample parking, and a delightful splash pad and carousel. The soft beach sand and scenic lake views are also highlights. However, some note that swimming access can be limited due to lifeguard shortages, and the water near the shore can be murky.
"There was a fenced in Splash Pad for kids. Around 5:00 several adults joined the kids. Spacious picnic areas. The Merry-go-round under a pavilion was a big hit for kids. The boardwalk out to the lighthouse was a long stretch to walk in 93 degree heat. It was 🔥. The swimming area was secluded to a small area due to lack of lifeguard staff, so it was very crowded in the swimming zone. The shoreline could use a little cleaning and the water was murky to me. The kids said the farther you go out the clearer the water was and it was cold. I chose not to get in, but to watch and enjoy the fresh air. 93 degrees 🎯."

"A gem by Lake Ontario! This park is impressively well-maintained with thoughtful infrastructure—ample parking, clean restrooms, a small splash park for kids, wide lawn areas, and nearby restaurants. The soft, fine beach sand is a pleasant surprise and makes for a comfortable shoreline experience. Honestly, it’s better managed than many paid state parks. Highly recommended for families and casual visitors alike."

"Love this beach. They could ise more picnic tables in shaded area. But other than that it was a beautiful clean beach. Our youth group had a great time."
