Good Place to Take Kids in St. Charles County?
I am thinking the St. Charles equivalent of the Magic House or a really nice park. I will be in the St. Charles/St. Peters area tomorrow and could use a place to take my kid. Does anyone have any suggestion?

New to St. Charles...Water has an "earthy" taste and smell
I’d take earthy over the eau d’swimming pool we have over by Jaycee Park. It’s so chlorine-y most days. I’ve call the water department a few time and they’ve told me it’s safe and the chlorine smell is because of the new filtration system they use. (Stage whisper aside, they…
Sledding - where to go?!
I managed to acquire sleds…. 🛷 I want to take my kiddo sledding.. I mean, we very rarely it seems get enough snow to be able to actually go sledding. Where can I take kiddo to safely sled…? 🙃 I do not mind driving - bless winter tires and 4WD. However, I’d rather not…

What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Jaycee Park is a beloved spot for families, praised for its engaging playground, refreshing splash pad, and ample shaded seating. While generally safe and clean, some visitors find stroller navigation a bit tricky. It's a highly recommended destination for a fun-filled day with kids.
"This is a fun park. Not huge, but nice, bigger playground area, smaller stream typ splash zone area along the sidewalk. Not the biggest splash pad, but a kwik spot for the kids to play and cool off a minute, while playing at the park. There is shaded seating with a view overlooking the lawn below. The tables have chess/checkerboard on them. Just bring chess pieces and checkers. My kids enjoyed it. We could sit mostly in the shade, and watch the kids play."

"What a fun park! We loved both play areas, the large butterfly, shaded picnic areas, and the water feature. The only negative thing was that it's a little hard to navigate with a stroller."

"This park is so much fun! Safe and clean. There is plenty to do for kids of all ages. Lots to climb, lots of room to run, plenty of slides, and even a splash pad for hot days. I especially like the playgrounds that use this soft material on the ground. My 2.5 year old never wants to leave! It’s also nice that there is a little shared library you can leave or pick up and book on your way out."
