What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors generally find Eagle Point Nature Preserve to be a pleasant and uncrowded spot for peaceful walks and family outings. The well-maintained trails and water views are highlights, though some note potential hazards like falling trees and poison ivy. While one review humorously pointed out a past issue with a porta-potty, another found it surprisingly clean, suggesting facilities can be inconsistent.
"Easy to find, well-maintained trails overall. This preserve offers a peaceful walk through the woods with some water views throughout. There was an area filled with trash that needs to be addressed, otherwise it was uncrowded and a very pleasant walk with not a lot of change in incline."

"Nice, kid friendly hike. The kids enjoyed throwing rocks in the water and I enjoyed all the beautiful trees. Lots of poison ivy and oak on the sides of the trail but not in the trail. It seems well maintained but there are a lot of trees that look close to falling, a few hanging over the trail, so be careful. Lots of roots but mostly flat. We went on Mother’s Day and it wasn’t very busy. The porta-potty was the cleanest I’ve ever been in. There was a cool zip line to help transport kayaks to the water and back. It said it does allow bicycles on the trail. Pets must be leashed but are welcome. Trails are very well marked and there are signs on a lot of the trees, telling what kind they are."

"The trails are fine and fun.
The Porta John? Based on the documentation inside this black lagoon of excrement, the Port John has not been cleaned since 2022.
There's a tree growing from the sludge tank, there's a squirrel's nest or some kind of varmint nest in there as well.
The document inside the door is signed by a fellow named JB. Somebody ought to check and make sure JB is doing okay, JB hasn't been around for a couple of years apparently.
I'm glad there are a lot of trees nearby."
