The accessibility via Cabrillo National Monument and the scenic Coastal Trail are frequently mentioned positives. However, some visitors have been disappointed by high tides preventing full exploration, underscoring the importance of checking tide charts.

"The tidal pools are beautiful. They give a magnificent view of the ocean. The tide was in when I was there so the pools weren't fully visible when I was there, but I still enjoyed it.

There is a parking lot nearby so you can easily access the tidal pools. There is a hike down from the Cabrillo National Monument, which is how I got there. The walk down is fine, though the hike up was a bit tougher."

"Great place for hikers and walkers. Too big differences in height for a beginner cyclist, but still there were plenty of cyclist anyway!
You can also water your feet in the sea on the beach.
You can see creatures both on land and in the sea.
I warmly recommend!"

Jari Kalevi Ollikainen

"Lovely area to enjoy the rugged CA Coastline. There is also a well-marked Coastal Trail to walk. Parking is no problem. The trail is easy; there are several areas where there are steps, but they're very wide and flat. You will be in awe of the superb ocean views all around. Definitely worth a stop."
