Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Alviso Marina County Park for its unique, surreal pink salt ponds and scenic bay views, making it a great spot for photography and nature walks. However, some find the park lacks shade, can get very hot, and has limited activities, with certain trails sometimes being closed.
"Not kid friendly and I came on a windy day. Definitely not my favorite park. I do like the street art outside the bathrooms on the wall. Many paths are closed and not much to see or do. I made the best of it an seen wildlife like the lizards and bugs. Basically impromptu photo shoot for my daughter. Minimal parking but it seemed to be just enough. I love how there were droves of bikers taking whatever path down by the red river.not going to lie I got some beautiful landscape photos as well. Worth getting out the house for but not to bring someone else."

"This is a great spot for a weekend walk. Highly recommend starting before 9 AM or after 5 PM, especially during the summer, as it gets pretty hot outside of those times. A full lap usually takes about 2 to 2.5 hours, but parts of the trail are currently under construction, so completing the full loop isn’t possible right now.
Also, keep in mind that it is not allowed to walk into the salt pond, I still saw a lot of people do this despite the warning signs standing right in front of their face. This is to keep the land from damage and protect the wildlife and endangered species that inhibit the area."

"Went on Wednesday around noon, and it was plenty of parking space, I guess on weekends might get more busy.
If you are looking for unique landscapes and long walks, this is the place to go. The salt pond looks amazing and surreal with the pink color. There is absolutely no shade along the trail, sun protection is a must. I could see lots of wildflowers, butterflies, and birds along the trail."
