What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about The Mountain Winery's stunning outdoor amphitheater and intimate concert atmosphere, often highlighting the breathtaking valley views. While many appreciate the diverse musical acts and the venue's historic charm, some find the high prices for parking, drinks, and food to be a drawback, alongside strict bag policies and cashless payment requirements.
"This is one of my favorite venues. Stellar concert series this summer. Saw Burton Cummings former lead singer for The Guess Who. They were awesome! I haven’t been there for 30 years. It sure has changed. They must’ve doubled or tripled the seating they used to have. It’s lovely and feels just as intimate as it did the last time I was there. We had a lovely dinner there tonight on a terrace overlooking the cities in the valley. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. there isn’t a bad seat in the house very accessible with many elevators for those who can’t do the stairs and lots of shuttles to the parking lot, but we chose to walk at the end of the concert."

"LOVE. LOVE. LOVE The Mountain Winery. I’ve been here multiple times over the last 20 years. Such a great selection of musicians and comedians.
Such a beautiful and intimate location to listen to music in Northern California. Nothing like being outdoors, listening to your favorite artist.
Drinks are a little bit on the pricey side. Parking is good if you pay more for it. It takes a while to get out of the venue after the events.
Food is spotty. we bought a meal package at the Mexican restaurant and the food was not very good. Especially being in California that’s a big disappointment.
Tonight we enjoyed a meal at the man dining area. The food was surprisingly delicious, especially being that my last experience wasn’t very good. The peach and brought salad was outstanding as well as the wedge salad, although that was a little bit skimpy. The braised beef was tasty.
The most outstanding part of our meal Express was our server Anna. She was very sweet and attentive. Came back multiple times to check on us to make sure we had what we needed."

"The venue for concert is definitely great, great view, great sound etc.
However the price for parking has become outrageous ($30), a glass of cheap wine in a plastic glass is $23, draft beer is $16. I think this is plain price gauging. In addition, the people at the main bar are so unfriendly, it's not even funny...
not to mention, the bag policy, OMG... Walked all the way through the parking lot and very close to the main entrance, to be told the crossover bag was too big.... Can you just have people at of the parking lot then?? It's actually a long way to walk, like for elderly people. This makes absolutely no sense! OR have a big sign then at the gate! This is borderline dumb, lol.
Oh and they take only Credit Card! Another big BS.
I also believe if they could charge for restrooms at this point they would, lol. (maybe next year, if we are lucky, lol)
My plan next time: take a Uber/Lyft from Saratoga, can't care less if more expensive and if I have to wait. And will enjoy a good glass of wine elsewhere ;-) This is how businesses lose money when they are not doing their part....."
