What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Reviews for Lake Superior State University are mixed, with some praising the supportive student services and close-knit academic environment, while others express concerns about faculty professionalism and school funding. The university's northern location and unique cultural events are often highlighted positively.
"I went here during the 1960's when it was Michigan Tech and a number of ex Marines went there as well and they taught me about fighting a war in a triple canopy jungle. You learned not to complain about anything and you stand by your buddies. The teaching straff were great !"
Wayne Clark
"Disappointed in what I was given at this school. The education was sub-par due to low funding and poor professionalism from faculty. With the president embezzling more than $100k from the school/students, faculty grooming the young women in programs, and the constant dissatisfaction from the higher ups within the school regarding student affairs and general way of life for students is disheartening. The few handful of professors who make this school worth while is sadly not enough for me to recommend this school to anyone. After working for the school in just about every department during my time here, there is so much corruption to be found behind every corner. This school has a lot of work to be done, both structurally and internally."
Christian Goss
"I do not recommend this college as a 4 year program."
