What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Hardman Farm for its beautiful historic mansion and engaging guided tours, with many highlighting the knowledgeable guides and the unique Victorian Christmas events. The scenic Hardman Trail is also a plus. However, some find summer tours uncomfortably hot with limited seating, and mid-week visits mean no house tours.
"We went on a Wednesday not realizing you could only go into the main house on a tour Thursday through Saturday. The grounds were very well taken care of and even with it being the first of October, there were a lot of flowers in bloom. We did happen to go on a day when there was a local school field trip so ought was a little crowded trying to go into the open outbuildings. Overall, it was a pretty good visit. Expect a bit of walking. The majority of the farm is level but the walk from the parking lot down to the visitor center is a lot of steps but there are ramps as well."

"We so enjoyed this beautiful home and its grounds. Our wonderful tour guide was a wealth of knowledge. Learning of the impressive features of this home that were way ahead of its time was truly remarkable. Highly recommend participating in this interesting and engaging piece of history! If you enjoy observing Ana Ruby Falls beforehand, you will get a 50% discount on this tour! Well worth it!!"

"This place has a truly captivating history. Although the scorching heat presented a challenge during our hour long tour, which lacked seating, it may not be suitable for older individuals with limited mobility. The heat exacerbated the discomfort. I highly recommend visiting in the fall for a more comfortable experience."
