"My mother visited the original Babyland General nearly 30 years ago when it was located closer to downtown Cleveland. She bought a commemorative 1996 Atlanta Olympics Cabbage patch kid which we still have today. When looking online for any news on Babyland, I saw that they had moved location back in 2010 to a much larger facility. I told my mom about this and in a flash, we were driving up north one weekend to see the new location. We were surprised with the new location being much larger than the smaller clinic building from years ago. Numerous Cabbage Patch kid busts greet you as you pull into the parking lot. Inside, the store is made to look like a hospital nursery with the staff dressed as nurses. The store was fun and entertaining with exhibits on the history of BabyLand and new dolls to “adopt.” Besides the titular dolls, there are other toys like stuffed animals, cars and several others for the kids to buy. Overall, a great place to bring family and kids when visiting Northeast Georgia."
