"We enjoyed a tour of the Quarry Gardens on a misty winter afternoon. I was impressed with the ecological study restoration work being accomplished here and with the passion of our guide. I look forward to seeing it in bloom next spring!"

"We visited Schuyler as I am a fan of Earl Hamner, and wanted to visit his home town. I had read about Schuyler before visiting and knew there was a Quarry Garden, but I didn't really know what it was exactly. Well, it is an absolute gem of a place! Beautiful, and so peaceful, it is wonderful. We were greeted by a lovely woman who explained to us all about the soapstone quarry, the properties of soapstone and how it affects the soil. We then walked the trail around the quarries, now filled with water. It is so amazingly serene, and definitely worth a visit."

"Nice trails and nature center. Enthusiastic staff. Wish they would bring music back here. Some of the large rock walls provide good natural sound reinforcement."
