What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors often praise the North Carolina Pottery Center for its informative museum and helpful staff who provide excellent recommendations for local studios. However, some reviewers have reported negative experiences with staff rudeness and a perceived lack of helpfulness in providing information about local potters, leading to frustration for those seeking specific details.
"Visited with my husband on Veteran's day. The inside of the buidling is lovely and the museum section is very well done. The young lady at the front desk went over the map with us and recommended which shops to visit after we told her what we liked. Restrooms were very nice as well."

"Some of the rudest people have have run across in quite some time. I was really surprised considering they are supposed to be promoting the local potters. I went here looking for information on local potterys and found nothing!! No brochures and certainly no helpful knowledge from the staff. As I walked in the building, I received an important business call. I was focused on helping a customer and was just wandering around the building blindly while I was focused on the call. while doing so, the staff literally yelled at me twice because I had wandered into their stupid little museum without paying. This organization should be ashamed of itself. Not only were they not promoting the potters, they were rude. Not to worry, I found my way around to the local potters without their help and I will NEVER EVER set foot in this building again!!!"

"My daughter participated in the TAPS program through the partnership with Seagrove school. She had the best time and learned so much about making pottery."
