Many appreciate the peaceful atmosphere and the unexpected natural beauty found within the city. "What an awesome area! I actually just went to see the Troll, little did I know when I walked down a pathway it would open up to people fishing, kayaking, paddle boarder, having picnics, walking..... enjoying life. I entered the park from one of the parking lots and walked through what felt and looked like a forest from beyond. Seeing several different paths to walk I followed my GPS to walk down to the troll. What a nice walk through the woods, beautiful, peaceful, serenity at its best. After coming to the end of the path there was a public pool, lots of guys fishing, people walking their dogs, enjoying the day. The views were fantastic. Not something you'd expect from the area. Not sure how long the path goes around the lake itself but I walked it for quite awhile enjoying the scenery. If you happen to be one of the lucky ones to see a resting seal that would just add to your visit. Will definitely return and explore more when I travel back over that way."

"Absolutely love this park! Besides it being beautiful & clean, the people are so friendly! Struck up a conversation with a nice gentleman walking his dog. He gave us several tips about the park, as I told him we had never been there. We talked about other Seattle parks too! Haven't spent a lot of time in West Seattle, but this park made me fall in love with West Seattle! Great, long trail on the coastline. Beautiful views from the bluff & enough trails to get a good walk in! There are several nice restrooms about the park too. Saw a sea lion floating in the water. Very family friendly too! I would absolutely feel comfortable visiting by myself & will definitely be back! I see why it is such a popular place"

"This was an absolutely beautiful experience. We went on a 2.5 mile walk here in the park and along the beach. Plenty people out doing barbecue and just hanging out. Beautiful views. Plenty restrooms along the walk. We put our feet in the water and it was COLD but felt so good on the joints. Can walk, run, bike, scooter and walk dogs on the path."
