"Nice place to spot some migratory birds and to get some fresh air. The walk over to the Prairie overlook is pretty nice."

"First time here. June 5, warm, sunny day and zero shade on the trails. Most trails are grass, today 6-8 inches high. Decided to walk a loop. Walked about a mile on main trail and came to a sign saying trail was closed for most of the year. This was not indicated in the parking lot. The side trail was not maintained, waist high vegetation, so had to retrace our steps.
WEnt the opposite way on main trail to Blue Heron trail which was also unmaintained. No loop today. On return walked Whitetail trail which was flooded in spots.
There are many better places to walk. Won’t be back."
Jon Bowen
"I’m sure this preserve is really something in the summer. Nice and quiet aside from all the grasshoppers this weekend and still quite pretty. path maintenance could use some improvement."
