Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently rave about the breathtaking beauty and challenging nature of Whistling Straits, particularly The Straits Course, with its dramatic Lake Michigan views and Pete Dye's masterful design. The exceptional service from the staff and the historic clubhouse add to the unforgettable, world-class golf experience. While the cost is high and the courses are demanding, most agree it's a bucket-list destination worth every penny.
"First of all, every single person working at Whistling Straits is amazing, especially the Pros. They are the nicest people I’ve ever met working at a golf course. They aren’t just transactional but really help you out and provide for an unforgettable experience, even without the course being what it is. If you ask them, they could give you a tour of the champion‘s lockers which it by itself insane aura.
The course itself is obviously the most beautiful and challenging course I’ve ever played. The lakeside views are incredible and the condition of the course pleasantly surprised me for it being early November in Wisconsin.
The property itself is unfathomable. You are getting greeted by thick rescue driving towards the clubhouse and the first thing you see entering the clubhouse is all PGA championship and the Ryder cup trophy. You’ll be glazing the entire time going through each room of the clubhouse.
I’ll lucky enough to be playing the Irish course tomorrow and can’t wait to go back. It’s my first golf trip and I will never forget it, thank you!"

"Played the Irish. Wonderful experience. Hard but fair course. Definitely scoreable but will kick your butt given the chance. We used carts. The carts are a little "nanny state" for my liking but I guess it prevents the yahoos from spoiling it for everyone. Course is in incredible condition. Greens were the fastest I've putted on all year. Well worth the trip."
