"Elverhøj Museum and Art is a small hidden museum gem in the heart of Solvang. In Danish it means Elve’s Hill. With community support, the Museum documents the history of Solvang. Visitors can spend ~30 mins to see the entire museum.
Admission is very affordable. Exhibits were decent enough to learn the town’s history. Staff was affable. Gift shop is tiny. Backyard is lovely and well maintained. Street Parking only.
Overall, I recommend this museum. It’s a piece of history."

"What a lovely and interesting place! It's a house in a residential neighborhood, former owner donated it to be a museum. Built in the old style with no nails. Excellent and detailed history on Danish immigration to the U.S., as well as the specifics of Danes establishing Solvang. Interesting artifacts, photos, furniture, movies, beautiful gardens. Small place but we were there for more than an hour and neither of us are Danish, it was just interesting and well presented history."
