Reviews Summary
Ochlockonee River State Park is lauded for its peaceful, secluded atmosphere and natural beauty, making it a favorite for those seeking tranquility. Visitors appreciate the well-maintained campsites, river access for fishing and kayaking, and the unique chance to spot white squirrels. While its remote location requires some planning, the serene environment and friendly staff create a highly satisfying experience.
"Great little State Park, 30 campsites with electric and city water at each site. Hit the dump station on the way in and out, just a 100 ft south of the ranger station. You have fishing, three trails to hike or ride your bike. Day use area has pavilions, grills, swimming hole, restrooms and outdoor shower to wash off. Boat ramp and canoe/kayak ramp available, as is a primitive camping area for groups that has port-a-potty and outdoor showers.. Dollar general is only a couple miles away, Walmart, Publix and Aldi's 22 miles away in Crawfordville... Great team takes care of the park, always friendly and happy to help out. You'll like it here!"

"This is more of a sit back and chill campsite. There are some trails within the park, but it is so easy just to kick back and enjoy the views.
I have no doubt that if this park wasn't so secluded, it would be way more popular.
We enjoyed spotting the white squirrel, finding deer on morning and night hikes, walks along the river, and listening for the coyotes as we fell asleep."

"My husband and I camped with our three dogs and travel trailer here for 3 nights and had an amazing time. The park was beautiful, with clean amenities and amazing walking trails. It is remote and feels secluded, even when the campground was full. We have stayed at a lot of places in FL and this is by far our favorite. We will definitely be back.
Ps, if you stay in site 13, be mindful of parking. There are a lot of trees, which adds to the appeal of the site, but makes parking tricky. We had a fun time getting our 21ft trailer backed in.. hint: turn around like you are going to leave out the one way entrance and back in that way :-)."
