What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Lakeside Beach is a beautiful spot with soft sand and stunning turquoise waters, offering a pleasant experience, especially during sunsets. While it can be a bit pricey with limited parking and unreliable furniture rentals, visiting after 5 PM for free entry or bringing your own gear can enhance the visit. Some visitors have noted issues with dog waste and customer service at entry.
"A pretty pleasant beach on the south shore. Wide beach. Soft sand. Slow waves. Went by in the office season so was able to get in for free (fun nite: the bathroom was closed for the season). There was a small, older, playground for little kids, a volleyball course, a few picnic tables, and some seats under the trees. It's a short walk from the casino area but if you happen to stay nearby this feels like a good spot to experience the lake."

"7-14-25 attention: low rate is only for bad customer service by entry control guys, they gave hard time on all three days me and my family been there. They don’t have cash back to give you and they need exact amount of money.
Beach is clean and beautiful , kinda family place, parking spots is limited on weekends. Seats and benches also limited despite of expensive 30$ entrance fee. Some close hotels have vouchers that you would pay 5 bucks instead. Good to know that after 5pm entrance is free. Bathrooms cleanliness is so so. Check pictures."

"The beach is very nice. They add in small pebble rocks to make it more like a sandy beach. The view is stunning. The entry fee is a bit steep without a hotel voucher at $30 per adult. They do rent beach furniture - loungers, chairs and umbrellas- but they had staffing issues one of the days we visitors and were unable to rent out the furniture. That sucked because we did not bring anything other than beach towels and had planned to rent from them.
The area is quiet and within walking distance from the main strip in South Lake Tahoe.
Overall great experience - but a bit expensive and unreliable beach furniture rentals."
