Lots of volunteer support for this historical site, be sure to visit the working blacksmith, the artist hut, and the boathouse. You can park at several different lots and there is even a visitor's center and museum. There is also a gift shop that has a great section on the Washoe Indians, and some delicious popsicles for sale. Take a half a day and hike and explore the Tallac historical site and it's many interesting attractions."
