The St. Louis @CityMuseum is one of a kind and the best place to take out of town friends! We recently visited with a group with a variety of ages and everyone had a BLAST! With four floors of attractions, it’s easy to to lose track of time - and maybe even what floor you are on! From slides, to caves, to a treehouse, and underground tunnels, there are more than enough things to keep you busy all...

This “museum” or “playground” is a one-of-kind experience! 🛝 Located in downtown St Louis, city museum (they came up with the most generic name possible) is a massive 10 story 600,000 square foot art exhibit? Idk how to classify this place! 🤔 Anyway! It’s fun for all ages, but in our opinion, it’s even more fun for adults! The tight spaces make it extremely difficult for bigger people to pass th...

Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise the City Museum as a unique, thrilling, and unforgettable experience for all ages. Its blend of art, adventure, and repurposed industrial elements creates an unparalleled playground. While some find extra attractions costly or underwhelming, the core experience is overwhelmingly positive, with many calling it a must-visit in St. Louis.

"This is the best museum I've ever been to! Words can't describe what it truly is. There had to been over 50 slides easily. Even an 8 story slide!! Awesome fun for kids and adults. Pinball hall was nostalgic. Lots of crazy art and sculptures everywhere. Food places throughout. We didn't pay extra for the roof experience and I'm glad we didn't because we couldn't even finish the entire inside in about 4 hours. Definitely plan a whole day here. It really is a one of a kind experience. If you come to St. Louis do not pass this up. There is something for everyone."

"This is a great place to bring your children and let them run wild. They will be crawling through caves, tunnels, slides and other fun things. They will have a blast.

Don't bother with the extra $6 for the pinball room. There are only 15-20 very old machines, nothing new and no classic machines."

Steve Butterfield

"So fun! Our kids (4-8) could have spent hours here. As an adult there’s a lot of places I don’t fit but this would have been a dream for me as a kid. So many places to climb and explore. If you have young toddlers it will probably feel like a nightmare to keep track of them though because some tunnels you don’t know where they go. I think 4, almost 5 is the right age to be able to let them loose, especially if they have an older sibling to follow around.

We did the ultimate combo which included the rooftop and the pinball hall. That was not really necessary. For some reason I thought the pinball hall was something more imaginative then just 20 pinball machines in a little roped off area- it’s not. And half of them didn’t work. Even if you love pinball I’m guessing there are more fun places to do that.

The rooftop is alright- there’s a few slides open (and a few were closed) and a precarious Ferris wheel (that I’m sure was safe but made me nervous) but it was very hot and I’m not sure worth the extra cost- the kids would have had plenty of fun in the main building and still wouldn’t have gotten bored. I would recommend the standard ticket unless you just really want to go to the roof. Also- don’t miss the circus show!"
